We had 2 good days here, can recommend the place. The location in a beautiful setting was stunning. And it was also adjacent to the South Island, looking native forest and mountains, and the garden. We loved the room in front of the bedroom. We spent a delightful two days at Tophouse Historical Inn Bed And Breakfast in Saint Arnaud. the picturesque location, nestled amidst stunning scenery with views of native forest and mountains, was truly captivating. the inn's proximity to the South Island added to its charm, making our stay even more memorable. the room we stayed in front of the bedroom was lovely and added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. Highly recommended!

Cozy rooms with fireplaces and charming patios, delicious meals and lively conversations at the shared table, lovely owners. But my favorite was the tiny bar, perfect for some pre-dinner fun with the locals.
Oh, I just hated everything. It was so horrible, I can't even.

The atmosphere at this historic property is simply amazing! The welcoming hosts are so knowledgeable and have put in a lot of effort to create a beautiful multi-purpose property, with stunning gardens and surroundings. The inn is full of character but still offers all the modern comforts you could ask for. The smallest bar in NZ has an impressive selection of beers. The chef-prepared dinner was absolutely delicious, and eating at a shared table with other guests was so much fun. The beds are super comfy and the hosts make you feel like friends. The location is perfect, with a gorgeous view of snow-clad hills. The self-contained unit was clean, well-appointed, and warm. The hosts were warm and friendly, and the unit had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience.

A fireplace in my room? How posh! Loved the buffet breakfast and the charming atmosphere. The location was perfect for skiing. Free WiFi, yay! Safety first with that fire extinguisher, very comforting.
Oh, such a struggle to think of something negative. Well, I guess I was annoyed by the lack of a personal butler.

The double room at Tophouse Historical Inn Bed And Breakfast was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing stay. It had a tea/coffee maker and an electric kettle, which made it convenient to enjoy a hot beverage whenever I wanted. As a guest who loves to sip on a cup of tea or coffee in the morning or before bed, this was a fantastic feature to have.
I didn't particularly like that the room only had an electric kettle instead of a tea/coffee maker. It's just my personal preference, and I understand that some guests might still find enjoyment in it.
